CCB offers free service for appraising coins

The Cattaraugus County Bank in Dunkirk, Little Valley and Jamestown, is all set to offer professional appraisals for coins from the 27th of January to the 29th of January, thanks to an organization which consists of well renowned numismatists, the HCC, Inc.

With the platinum, gold and silver bullion market being at a high, the value of half dollars, quarters and dimes made from silver, as well as the Gold Canadian Maple Leafs, the Krugerrands, and the Gold American Eagles are shooting up. Besides, there is an exasperated demand for collectible coins such as Indian pennies, Morgan & Peace dollars and other commemoratively issued coins.

This, therefore, is a good time to rummage through your closets for any old coins, as HCC will also purchase your coins at their appraised values if you wish to sell them. Given below are the timings when the appraisers would be present at the following locations from 09:00am to 04:00pm (with no requirement of appointments).

  • January 27th – Tuesday – CCB, 870 – Fairmont Ave, Jamestown
  • January 28th – Wednesday – CCB, 1165 – Main Street Ext, Dunkirk
  • January 29th – Thursday – CCB, 120 – Main Street, Little Valley

Joni Simcick, CCB’s Marketing Manager and VP, said that they were amazed with the turnout at their appraisal service in Little Valley and Springville in November last year. He went on to say that while the bank knew they have coin collectors as their customers they did not know how many, and that when HCC, Inc. got in touch with him about coming back to Little Valley and visiting a couple more CCB branches, he fell for the offer. He also said that the all the appraisers are highly experienced and thoroughly professional, and that the general public was cordially invited to partake in the coin appraisal along with indulging in light refreshments, hoping to hear about some great news in reference to their coins’ value.
